Diocesan Pentecost Vigil Mass
Bishop Quinn will again be celebrating a special Vigil Mass in the diocese for the Solemnity of Pentecost. The Mass will be celebrated at Pax Christi Parish in Rochester on Saturday, May 19th, at 7:00 pm, to pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the people and ministries of our diocese. A special event to mark the celebration is also being planned for earlier in the day, and details on this will be forthcoming.
Everyone is invited, and a special invitation is extended to those involved in the various lay movements and apostolates, retreat ministries, charismatic prayer groups, etc. present in the diocese (e.g., Communion and Liberation, Neocatechumenal Way, Teams of Our Lady, TEC, Cursillo, etc.). This Mass will also be a celebration of the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of all those involved in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and who will have recently entered the Church, their sponsors, and everyone who has helped them on their journey.
