Seeds of Faith - Our Campaign

We approach our future full of hope because God loves us. As the people of the Diocese of Winona let us work together, by the grace of God, to secure the future of our parishes and the diocese. We seek to secure our future by conducting a diocesan wide, deanery-based campaign with a minimum goal of $20,000,000. Seventy-five percent of the revenues raised in this campaign will be returned to support parish and reional projects. Twenty-five percent will be designated for diocesan projects - education of seminarians, continuing education of priests and deacons, and formation of deacons; tuition assistance for parents of Catholic school children; faith formation programs; and renovation of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
While the financial goals of this campaign are challenging, they are attainable. With God's help and with everyone's participation in this endeavor, we can successfully reach our goal and build for our future together.
The Office of Stewardship and Development will administer campaign pledges. The Finance Office will make reimbursements to parishes on a quarterly basis, based upon the cash received on pledges from each parish for that period.
Diocesan Needs The Diocese of Winona is called upon daily to continue, and even increase, its services and ministries if it is to proclaim the reign of God in Word, Sacrament and Service. Our vision establishes three endowments and partially funds the renovation of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona. The following are the three endowments established by Seeds of Faith.
- The first provides tuition assistance to parents with children in Catholic schools.
- The second expands funding for a wide range of faith formation needs.
- The third makes available education for candidates for the priesthood, continuing education of diocesan priests and deacons and formation of deacons.
These three endowments and the renovation of the Cathedral cannot be funded without additional revenues. Current resources are fully expended on services and ministries that already exist. This campaign will provide the necessary revenues for this vision.
