Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 10, when the diocese will host a “Basic Evangelization Training” led by St. Paul Street Evangelization (SPSE), a grassroots apostolate whose mission is to share the Good News about Jesus and the beauty and truth of the Catholic Church that Jesus founded. The training will be held at Saint John the Evangelist Church in Rochester from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, with the option to go out and evangelize immediately following the training. The registration fee is $25, which covers training, materials, and lunch. Scholarships are available upon request.

This training day is “among the most hands on, practical, and dynamic evangelization workshops for Catholics in the world today. Participants will gain the courage they need to be enthusiastic and joyful evangelists as they overcome the fear many of us have to share our faith.  Those who complete the training will receive basic certification, membership on the SPSE online training site, and materials to engage their parishes and schools in the work of evangelization.”  [Information in quotes is taken from the SPSE web site: http://streetevangelization.com/.]
