An ART Contest Sponsored by the Diocese of Winona
Office of Faith Formation
Eligible Students: All Faith Formation and Home School Students
Divisions: Students in grades 4-6, 7-8 and 9-12
The Challenge: Pray the Rosary every day for a week and then create a work of ART that reflects the theme—Gazing on Christ Through the Rosary.
Significant Dates and Rules
April 11, 2012: Faith Formation classes say the Rosary using the Glorious Mysteries to kick off ART Contest.
June 15, 2012: Due date for “entry forms” to be received at the diocesan office.
June 22-23, 2012: All ART must be presented in person at the diocesan event, “Turning Our Gaze to Christ,” being held at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester. Free entry to the student to the event is included with registration for the ART contest.
June 23, 2012: Diocese will announce the overall ART contest winner for each division at the closing ceremonies for “Turning Our Gaze to Christ.”
June 25, 2012—July 16, 2012: Winning Art on display at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
Prizes Prizes will be awarded for the top ART from Faith Formation and Home schools in grades 4-6, 7-8 and 9-12.
People’s Choice Award
“People’s Choice Award” will be given based on votes collected by people attending the event. Voting for the People’s Choice Award will be available both Friday and Saturday so early display of your ART is encouraged.
