Diocesan Ministry Days
Diocesan "Ministry Days" are an annual cycle of diocesan gatherings for our clergy, parish staff, and other church ministers to come together for prayer, sharing, learning, and planning relating to our common ministry here in southern Minnesota. Held in the fall, spring, and early summer each year, these gatherings also provide professional in-service and enrichment opportunities for these ministers.
Ministry Days 2013
Come gather with other parish leaders in the Diocese -- priests, deacons, religious, and lay -- for two days of education, conversation, prayer, and community building. With the theme, To Encounter the Lord ~ Proclaiming and Witnessing to the New Evangelization, this year's Ministry Days will be held on Monday, June 24th - Tuesday, June 25th, at Saint Mary's University in Winona. The gathering will include: 
- Keynote Presentations by Ralph Martin, PhD, President of Renewal Ministries, on, "What is the New Evangelization? Why Bother?", and by Jim Beckman, Director of Youth Leadership and Evangelization for the Augustine Institute, on, "Rediscovering Discipleship for the New Evangelization".
- Workshop Sessions on the new media, catechesis and discipleship, human resource essentials, the art of apologetics, marriage enrichment, parish web sites, the new Roman Missal, RCIA ministry, vocations, etc.
- Prayer and Liturgy with daily Mass, Morning and Evening Prayer, and a Holy Hour.
- Social Times including a social, dinner, and entertainment on Monday evening.
